Agryl 30 (30grm/m square) is a protective crop covering fabric designed to give you 2-3 C of protection. It can be used in a double layer to provide more protection. In a single layer, it allows approx. 70% of light through. We use this product on the farm in the early spring to protect frost sensitive crops. We use it in conjunction with the galvanized steel wire hoops to create low tunnels over our rows. Please note that tender warm season crops should not be planted out until the risk of frost is over, even with this protection. It is intended to protect cold tolerant plants from freezing during light frosts in early spring or fall. Make sure to order extra fabric for the ends of your rows so you can reach the ground to weigh it down. An extra 6’ per row is recommended. For example: If your row is 20’ long, order 26’ of cloth.
